Coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Late 2015

This morning has brought both good news and bad news for fans of Batman, as developer Rocksteady Studios announced the delay of Batman: Arkham Knight to June 23rd pushing the game forward another three weeks, but also dropping a pretty sweet and brutal new gameplay video. However, even more news seems to indicate that more Batman is on its way to current-gen consoles with the re-release of the Batman: Arkham series’ first two games.

In an original report from IGN Italy, rumors indicate that a remastered collection of the series’ first two games, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One this year, with “reliable sources” indicating that a collection of both titles will be coming at the end of the year near Christmas 2015.

The rumors however only mention the inclusion of the series’ first two games, with no mention of Batman: Arkham Origins being included in the collection â€" however, Origins was developed by Warner Bros. Montreal instead of original developer Rocksteady Studios, so the included titles may only be limited to the Rocksteady-developed games, and putting its release well after Arkham Knight‘s launch in June.

Developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, however, have not officially confirmed any details of a remastered collection of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City at this time.

Rocksteady Studios’ conclusion to the trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight, will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 23rd, 2015 â€" stay tuned for more news on the possibility of remastered editions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City as official confirmation and news develops.

Count me in...I was hoping they would remaster these games on the PS4. I've completed both of these games about 6 times each and would love the chance to do it again in 1080p.
