Saying it's been quiet around here would be an understatement.

I ended up buying College Football 26 on sale for $20 and have been enjoying it so far. I tried both CF 26 and Madden 26 during a free trial weekend and thought College Football was the better playing game of the two.

I also picked up Formula Legends. I was looking forward to its release in September but held off because all of the reviews for it complained about the handling. I checked to see if there were any updates for the game in January and saw that they added a new handling model that seemed to be well-liked online. I was sold after finding out that there was a playable demo, which I loved. I'm considering getting some of the DLC for it. They just released another big update last week which improved the collision system, added wheel support and visual damage, among many other things.

I also bought Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. I've been waiting on fixes to input lag and went with the Xbox version, which has much less import lag than the PS5. There's supposed to be another update coming out soon to improve it even more.

I've been avoiding Triple-A games and have just been sticking with games that are easy to jump in and out of.

Other than that, I'm still waiting for the snow to melt from the storm we had almost 4 weeks ago.

Formula Legends looks neat and it's on Steam so I'm downloading the demo.  Thanks for the tip.

Jason

Let me know what you think of it. It has retro graphics, but deep gameplay.

Ted

I liked the demo.  It's the kind of racing game I prefer at this point.  I don't know how deep it is as I can only one one track with 3 different layouts, and three different era cars (70's 90's 2010's I think).  I'm considering buying it because I like the old F1 cars from the 50s and 60s?

Can you describe the "deep" gameplay?

Ted

Just got my best finish on Normal difficulty.  7th place. Was in 5th on the last lap, but screwed up a turn and dropped.

Jason

It's not a typical arcade racer where you're power sliding around every turn. You have to drive, and pit, realistically to be successful. The graphics may trick people into thinking it's Mario Kart with F1 cars, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It actually plays much closer to Codemaster's F1 series.

Ted

It just went on sale for 15 so I'll pick it up.
