I really hope it's a good game. I have no problem playing an unlicensed sports game if it's good, but I'm apparently in the minority. It's unfortunate because we'd have a lot more sports games to play if more people felt the same way.
I don't see the situation changing anytime soon because we now have a generation of gamers who not only want real players but also want licensed equipment for those virtual athletes. I can honestly say that I couldn't give two shits if the players in sports games are wearing licensed equipment or not. I find it somewhat ridiculous that The Show is using licensed equipment as one of their bullet points for this year's game, but apparently that's what gamers want. The insanity over the sneakers in the NBA 2k series in just unbelievable. I'll just never understand how people can care about bullshit like that.
