Title: Madden 25
Post by: Jason on August 26, 2013 @ 11:40 AM
For only the 6th time in its 25 year history, I will not be buying Madden on its release day. I downloaded the demo and actually like it a lot, but with no deals and NCAA Football still keeping me happy, I just don't feel the need to buy Madden at full price. I will be interested in buying it once some deals are available and the real season is in full swing. Amazon also has a tendency to drop the price of popular games a week or two after they're first released...they did it with NCAA Football and I'm hoping they do it for Madden too.

Amazon just added a $10 credit to Madden 25 purchases.

Wow, that's steep.

I don't think it has anything to do with the next-gen version, which I have my doubts about too. I think the negative feedback and lack of innovation hurt Madden the most this year. I personally didn't buy it because it didn't seem like much, if any, of an upgrade from 13 and NCAA Football 14 has kept me quite satisfied this year.

Madden already down to $49.99 at Amazon and still offering $10 credit. Decisions...decisions...

Just get it...you know you're gonna. At least draft classes work this year.

I was about to until I found out it was actually $39.99 at one point today. I'll wait for that deal.

...and now the $10 credit is gone. Their loss.

I was waiting for Madden to go on sale for $39.99 but just got it, along with a Gillette Fusion Proglide razor, for $38.05 (including tax).

EA is in deep shit with Madden. They promised this wouldn't be like Madden's disastrous launch on the current-gen, but it seems like it may be worse.
