If for no other reason than to stifle some of the mopes on the subreddit.

Ubisoft has announced on Twitter that Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will receive its 4K/60 FPS update for PS5 and Xbox Series X on February 2.

The patch will be released with Title Update 12.1, which brings with it the Resident Evil crossover content and the rebalance of the Optimisation Station costs. So, there's a lot to get excited about, with full patch notes expected to drop on Monday.

My younger son got a PS Plus subscription for Christmas and finally got me to try this online with him tonight.

After working out all the kinks (not able to send an invite and mic issues), we had a good time completing a bunch of missions. It brought back memories of playing Gears of War in co-op. He's going to push me to finish the game before his Christmas break is over.

Absolutely loved The Division and Division 2. Actually, prefer the Division due to the Winter setting in NYC.

Have you been in the sewers yet? Heard any strange sounds?

Ted

I like these games' settings and story, but I don't like bullet sponge shooters

"Finish" the game, lol.  ;D

Jason

I know it's a live service game and technically has no ending, but isn't there a main storyline you can complete?

Brad Company

You can finish the pre NYC story, but it really doesn't reach a conclusion. The story continues with the DLC, and then through the manhunts and now the seasonal story line.

Endgame is considered everything after WONY and reaching level 40, which is easier than ever.

Jason

I guess we'll be playing longer than we expected.

We were planning on playing the first one once we're done with two. Is there going to be a big downgrade in gameplay if we do that?

Brad Company

Yeah, it's a big dropoff in terms of performanxe and quality of life. It's still well worth playing, but no 4K and 30 fps on PSN is rough. As far as endgame, Div 1 is much tougher to become master than 2, but 2 has way more depth and variety.

If you guys want to blast through anything let me know.

Jason

I just assumed it was 60fps on PS5. I'd probably get the Xbox version if we decide to play the first one since it has FPS Boost, but we'll probably just stick with the second one.

Yes, it would be awesome to have you join us for some missions. Is your save affected by joining us in earlier missions in the game?

Brad Company

No, I can answer calls for backup in open world from low level players at any time no problem.

I saw some of what you're talking about last night when we took over a propaganda radio station.

Jason

We upgraded our weapons and gear last night which made taking down enemies much easier.
