I bought my younger son ( the Nintendo Switch/Mario Cart 8 Deluxe bundle for Christmas this year. I'm not really a Nintendo guy and never played the Wii I bought for my kids years ago, but today, I was playing Mario Cart with all three of my kids for 4 hours straight. We were taking turns playing 3-player split screen. I'm going to order another controller so we can all play together at the same time with 4-player split screen.

Not only was I surprised with how much I enjoyed it, but my older son (18) isn't really into Nintendo games anymore, and my daughter (15) isn't into video games at all anymore, yet we were all glued to that Switch today. My wife was going crazy with all the laughing and yelling going on during the races. I had forgotten how much fun competitive gaming against other people can be.

For the record, my daughter dominated on the track. She was big into Mario Cart on her 3DS years ago and seems to have kept her skills sharp.
