Yes, after all these years without a console golf game brings us, Augusta!

http://worthplaying.com/article/2011/1/4/news/79125/

Start your journey down the “Road to the Masters” with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters. For the first time in franchise history, players will be able to step on to the hallowed grounds of Augusta National to experience the rich history and tradition of the Masters Tournament.

Rely on the advice of your caddie to strategize and focus your game while feeling the intensity of the PGA TOUR season.  Embark on the “Road to the Masters” as your career begins on the amateur tour and work your way through Q School, Nationwide Tour, and finally, the PGA TOUR. If you need a break from the grind of tournament action, play a round of mini-golf on one of five fun-filled layouts.  Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters has something for every golf fan and is the must-have title this year!

Features

    * Play the Hallowed Grounds of Augusta National Golf Club â€" For the first time ever in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR franchise history, players will now be able to compete at Augusta National Golf Club.  Experience the historic holes that comprise Amen Corner and make a run at capturing the distinctive Green Jacket.
    * Masters Moments â€" Relive and play through memorable, historic moments of the Masters.  Take the challenge and see where you measure up against the greats who have played in this legendary tournament.
    * Tiger at the Masters â€" In this all-new mode, relive each of Tiger’s four wins at the Masters by attempting to equal or beat his scores in each round of the Tournament.
    *          All-New Commentary Team â€" Jim Nantz teams up with David Feherty to lead the all-new broadcast presentation package and provide the play-by-play of each swing.
    * Climb the World Ranking â€" Feel the pressure of an all-important putt while working your way through the amateur tour, Qualifying School, and the Nationwide TOUR. Perform well enough to earn a spot on the PGA TOUR!  In Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters, the all-new career mode closely mirrors the real-life journey of an amateur golfer as they strive to make it onto the PGA TOUR.
    *          The Caddie Experience â€" Play like a true pro with a caddie alongside, assisting and supporting your every swing.  The caddie will evaluate all pre-shot factors, such as wind, lie, and yardage, to provide a recommended shot.  As your caddie’s knowledge of each course increases, he will level up through “Course Mastery,” making him even more valuable to your success.
    * Stay in Balance â€" For the first time, get into a stance utilizing Wii Balance Board gameplay integration. Designed to promote golfer balance, players can earn “Balance Points” to activate a power shot.
    * Mini-Golf - If you’re ready to take a break from grinding on the tough courses, jump into the family-fun mode of mini-golf.  This year’s game has five courses, including a new Boardwalk style layout.
    * Presidents Cup â€" Take on the best from around the world as you compete in this new offline team-based mode.  This tournament features the U.S. team versus the top golfers outside of the Europe.
    *          The Best Golfers in the World â€" Hit the links as the top talent in golf, including PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year Rickie Fowler, past Masters champion Zach Johnson, Ryder Cup participant Bubba Watson, and many more.
    * Championship Courses â€" Take on the best of the best on 24 of the world’s most celebrated courses, including Augusta National Golf Club, Royal Melbourne Golf Club (Australia), Atlanta Athletic Club, Pinehurst, Torrey Pines, St Andrews Links and Pebble Beach Golf Links.
    * WiiMotionPlus â€" Experience a true-to-life golf swing and have the ability to work the ball with precise draw and fade capabilities with the WiiMotionPlus integration.

Screens at the link look amazing - except for the Wii version which looks like a turd.
Amateur Tour, National Tour and the Q School is back.   cl::p

This sounds fanfreakingtastic.

An hour and a half video showing Augusta in TW 12 and more.

I also love the integration of the caddies, something I recommended over at the TW forums years ago.

Some comments from the video above posted on the TW forums

Some points from the Ustream just a little while ago:

4 unique online game modes:

Amateur- unlimited use of boost, spin and everything, much like the tiger woods '10 amateur mode

Pro- much like the tiger '11 amateur mode, focus is used for boost, spin, putt preview, random landing

Tour Pro- tour pro of tiger '11, no putt preview, focus used for random landing which is quite large.  no boost or spin

Tournament- the "true golfing experience", no focus used for anything, random landing is as-is, true aim, no boost or spin, no putt preview, no putting meter.

Putting Circle:

when putting, the caddy gives you a random circle, the correct line up for the putt is somewhere within that circle.  the circle gets bigger for every difficulty you go up.  In tournament mode you have no circle and read the green all by yourself.

Choke Down on the Club:

using the right analog stick while lining up the shot, you can push it down and you can actually change the grip on the club, the more you choke down, the more yards it takes off the shot.

Lie Indicator

before you line up your shot, you can hit a button and it zooms down to the ball, tells you the % of the lie and also the degrees it is above or below your feet so you can see how the ball will kick.

In Depth on the Caddy

looks like the caddy gives you an aggressive route and a safer route to the center of the green.  you can choose one of those and hit the shot as he is telling you to, or you can disable the caddy and aim the shot and hit it how you always have in the past.  all on your own. Caddies also will start off not being very good, and the more you play certain courses, the better your caddy's "course mastery" will be for that course and will give better advice.  The caddy takes wind, elevation, lie, everything into consideration for the shot, so if you hit exactly how the caddy says, the percentage and everything, your shot will be successful.  They also showed for a slight second, the caddy book, but i didn't see what all was in there.  looked like stats and some other stuff.

Augusta

this course looks gorgeous, even when its just on a stream!  the guys at Augusta are very strict in how they want the course to look. They want it to look EXACT!  This is making the course look fantastic. Bright, Vibrant, and GORGEOUS!  Azalea's look phenomenal.  Amen Corner looks spectacular!  The course plays just like it would in person, very fast greens.  The scorecard at the end of the round, is the authentic Masters scorecard as in real life which looks pretty cool.  When playing the course, where it comes up and says the hole number and yardages in the bottom left corner, it says the Hole Name as well.  All the holes are named after flowers and it shows them.  It also shows everything like you would see in the Masters Tournament.  Where it says the hole number, it is green with the masters logo instead of the standard HUD that it normally has.  Mike D mentioned on hole 12, par 3, if you hit in front of the green, the false front will make your ball roll all the way back down into the water.  This course is going to be SICK!

Well after reading all this I am going to sell TW 11 while I can still get a few dollars for it.  After seeing all the new features, playimg TW 11 just does not see that fun anymore.

Of note that EA has said the PS3 collectors edition for $69.99 that has 5 extra courses  will also be available for the same amount as a DLC on the 360.  The only reason a collectors edition does not exist for the 360 is space on the DVD.

Also in game saves are finally in the game.

Right now Gamestop has the best pre-order bouns with a free DLC (Bethpage Black)    Amazon is giving you a putter with a boost.

Tons of info, most posted here already but some new stuff.

Import XP from Tiger 11  (stupid me deleting all my TW 11 info)

New Courses: Atlanta Athletic Club, Royal Melbourne Golf Club, The Els Club, The Dunes Course at Costa Navarino, and TPC San Antonio.

Updated player models and 3D grass.

Choke: There are now two choke settings for your clubs in certain situations.

Career Mode

Work you way up the ladder from the EA tour, Amateur  Tour, Nationwide Tour, Q-School, and the PGA Tour. If you're good enough you can even skip the Nationwide Tour.

Each event will have Training and Sponsor Challenges, which effectively replace the Tiger Challenges.

The Presidents Cup at Melbourne is included.

Equipment in your career mode (including the chance to earn high-end prototype clubs) is no longer bought with XP; instead it is unlocked and won as you progress through your career and achieve different tiers with your sponsor (see more below).

Each sponsorship with club manufacturers has four tiers that contain challenge criteria that you must meet before you can advance to the next tier and unlock more stuff in the pro shop. You can switch sponsors, but in a bid to encourage an ongoing relationship with your sponsor, there will be a penalty in that some of the objectives you've earned will be lost.

Goodbye Tiger Challenges, you will not be missed.
