Title: Countdown to 2011 XBL daily deals
Post by: BDSooner72 on December 22, 2010 @ 06:20:18 PM
Today is the Arcade Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light game for 600 points. I am considering picking this one up but it looks like the most fun is playing with another person.  Anyone else have this game.  I am also considering getting Risk factions since it is now 400 points but the demo did not do much for me,

Well looked at the MS forums and Risk Factions apparently is broken playing online and there is no patch, so no go there. Will play the Laura Croft Demo and see what it plays like but if nobody else has the game I will have to pass on it.

I've heard good things about Guardian of Light - I'll have to check it out.

I didn't like Risk Factions too much so you were wise I think.

I just finished the single player demo (you play one full level out of fourteen) and this is a must buy for 600 points, Purchasing it right now. I had to get used to the Diablo feel to the game and the shooting takes a but getting used to but this is the Laura Croft I love to play.

Keep in mind this deal is only for one day, it goes back to 1200 points tomorrow.

I finally joined the new site to tell you to get this, even if you only played 1p, but I see you discovered that on your own. :)

Really fun game.

I played through the the first level of the demo and immediately purchased it too. We'll have to try multiplayer soon.

Excellent. It really is a steal for 600 points.  Just let me know when you want to give it a go online. You being busy having the wife and kids, where all I have is 75+ GB of lesbian porn and that is after I cleaned up my special folders of joyus girl on girl action.

Now if I can only get you to buy Fifa and Tiger Woods 2011, our libraries would match up.  :P

No chance of me buying FIFA since I already have Word Cup 2010 and I'm not a huge soccer fan. Tiger Woods 11 will have to wait until after NBA 2K11.

My Xbox has been on just once this past week and the game I played was Guardian of Light. The game is so addicting and fun, and I love the combat controls. I'm on level 5 and couldn't believe that there are 14 levels in the game. I'm hoping to try out the online coop play soon.

14 levels and I will outscore you on the leaderboards in each of them.  ;)

Currently on level 12 I think and then I will give each level another play-through to catch some of the things I missed. Agreed that it is very addicting and you really do want to play one more level, after beating the last.

Game is defeated.  This is the first non-sports game that I have completed since Soldier of Fortune on the Ps2. Felt good and let me tell you the last level is a royal PITA.  One long, seemingly never-ending boss fight. If you can beat it w/o dying I applaud you.  Spikes got me a few times at the beginning of it and a couple times at the end where you have limited ammo and spend a bit of time fighting with spear only.

Brent and I tried the online coop play in Lara Croft last night and it played perfectly. It was a lot of fun too because the puzzles are different than the single player game.

Yea I agree that it is really fun co-op, except for the fact that I grabbed most of the diamonds but in the end we both get the same score (leaderboard shows us with the same total).   ;)

My son and I played some levels co-op.  Works well, and definitely adds to the replayability because of the different solutions needed.

Wow, it didn't realize you could play local multi-player too. I'll have to try it out with my son.
